Data processing on our website and other online services

Log files when you visit our website

When you access our website, general information (so-called server log files) is automatically recorded. This includes the web browser you use, your operating system and your Internet service provider. This data does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you personally and is statistically evaluated by us in order to improve our website technically and in terms of content. Collecting this information is necessary in order to be able to deliver the content of the website correctly. This is only stored for a few days to weeks and is then automatically deleted.

We use all-inkl.com as an external service provider to host our website. The log files are stored there.

The website can generally be used without providing personal data. If personal data (such as name, address or email addresses) is collected, this is always done on a voluntary basis wherever possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

If a contractual relationship is to be established, its content designed or changed or if you send us an inquiry, we collect and use personal data from you to the extent that this is necessary for this purpose (master data). We collect, process and use personal data to the extent that this is necessary to enable you to use the website (usage data). All personal data is only stored for as long as it is necessary for the stated purpose (processing your inquiry or executing a contract). In doing so, we take into account retention periods under tax and commercial law. At the order of the responsible authorities, we must provide information about this data (master data) in individual cases to the extent that this is necessary for the purposes of criminal prosecution, to avert danger, to fulfill the statutory duties of the constitutional protection authorities or the military counterintelligence service or to enforce intellectual property rights.

We expressly point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. It is not possible to provide complete protection against access to data.

The use of contact data published under the GDPR by third parties to send unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby expressly prohibited.

Existing business relationships or those where you have given us your consent are excluded from this.

The providers and all third parties named on this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising information being sent. The same applies to the commercial use and disclosure of the data.

Subscription to our newsletter

If you have subscribed to the newsletter on our club website, we will use your email address to regularly send you the newsletter and provide you with useful information about the club. The legal basis for sending the newsletter is your consent (Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time to stop receiving the newsletter. To do so, you can click on “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the newsletter email. Or you can write to us at newsletter-abbestellen(at)foerderverein-staatliche-ballettschule-berlin.de or by post.
The email address you provided for sending the newsletter will be deleted as soon as you revoke your consent to the newsletter, unless this email address is also used for communication other than sending the newsletter between the club and you.

Data processing in the context of our association work

Member management

Member data is processed by the respective officials of our association only for the purpose of fulfilling the tasks assigned to them. In detail, this means:

  • If the Board of Directors needs member data to perform its duties, it may access all member data necessary for this purpose.
  • The treasurer processes the member data that is relevant for collecting and managing membership fees. Auditors process the member data that is relevant for auditing the accounts. This includes first name, last name, postal address and bank details with payment details and, if applicable, access to the direct debit authorization including signature, provided that the member has given the association a direct debit mandate.

The purpose of processing member data is to pursue the association’s purpose and to manage the association. The legal basis is membership in the association (Article 6 paragraph 1 b) GDPR).

The current member data is stored for the duration of the membership and beyond that only in accordance with the retention periods under tax and commercial law.

Photos at events

Photos of our club activities are published on our website for the purpose of external representation.
The legal basis for publishing the following photos of adults on our website is the legitimate interest of our club described below in accordance with Article 6 paragraph 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR:

  • Group photos due to our legitimate interest in informing about club events,
  • Photos related to events due to our legitimate interest in reporting on events,
  • Photos of the audience who attended events or photos in which the people only appear as accessories due to our legitimate interest in reporting on the event and its success.

You have the option of objecting to the use of such a photo in which you can be seen in accordance with Article 21 Paragraph 1 GDPR. The association will check whether there are compelling legitimate reasons for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms. If not, the corresponding photo will be deleted.

We will only publish other photos in which an adult person (member of the association or from the audience) is the focus or in which only this person was specifically photographed with the consent of this person (Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 a) GDPR). This consent can be revoked at any time for the future.

We will only publish photos of underage members of the association or children, e.g. from the audience, if the legal guardians have consented in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 a) GDPR. This consent can be revoked at any time for the future.

Rights of data subjects

If we process your personal data, you have the following rights as a data subject:

  • a right to information about the data processed and to a copy,
  • a right to rectification if we process incorrect data about you,
  • a right to erasure, unless there are exceptions as to why we still store the data, for example retention obligations or limitation periods,
  • a right to restriction of processing,
  • the right to withdraw consent to data processing at any time,
  • a right to object to processing in the public interest or in the case of legitimate interest,
  • a right to data portability,
  • a right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you find that we are not processing your data correctly. The Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information is responsible for our association. If you are in another federal state or not in Germany, you can also contact the data protection authority there.
